Course Description: This course is designed to provide real estate professionals an overview of the financing process homebuyers must undertake in order to finance a home purchase. Recent legislative changes affecting the lending industry impact the need for real estate agents to be prepared to coach and counsel their buyers (and sellers) in the age of “Ability to Repay”, the timing and information contained in the “Loan Estimate” and “Closing Disclosure”, and the rules of TRID (Truth in Lending/Real Estate Settlement & Procedures Act Integrated Disclosures). *The Pathways to Home Ownership Class has been approved by the Director of the Maine Real Estate Commission for 3 Clock-Hours toward fulfillment of the educational requirements for real-estate professionals. This course will be led by Don Cohen, Mortgage Processing Administrator, Infinity FCU.
Safety Awareness for the Real Estate Professional: 1pm-4pm
Course Description: Finding yourself alone in an empty house with a complete stranger can be a frightening experience, especially if this person makes you feel uncomfortable. This class is designed for the Real Estate Professional to learn prevention strategies and protection techniques. Be prepared for lots of "hands on" demonstrations and drills! Feel safe.
